Umpire Jerry Layne's Crew

Of the 199 MLB ejections in 2011, Jerry Layne and crewmates Bob Davidson, Hunter Wendelstedt and Brian Knight accounted for 26, or 13 percent—8 for Davidson, 8 for Wendelstedt, 6 for Knight and 4 for Layne. With 17 umpire crews, the average crew administered just 11-12 ejections, meaning Layne's crew ejected twice as much as the ordinary crew. By comparison, Joe West's crew barely scratched the 20 ejection mark.

As such, perhaps a parting-of-the-ways is ineluctably necessary.

The following image has been seized as a proposal of this umpiring crew's critical shake-up with Vanover taking Knight's place:
Jerry Layne replaced by Utah Governor Gary Herbert. Hunter Wendelstedt replaced by actor Jared Dauplaise. Bob Davidson replaced by HOF QB Terry Bradshaw. Larry Vanover replaced by Doc Emmett Brown from Back to the Future.

I hope you noticed what day it is today... April Fool's!

Didn't you do this once by making a post in which Joe West had about six ejections?

Yes indeed. The precise "casualties" were:

Red Sox DH David Ortiz (called third strike)
Red Sox 3B Mike Lowell (check swing)
Orioles SS Cesar Izturis (out)
Red Sox 1B Kevin Youkillis (called second strike)
Red Sox Manager Terry Francona (called second strike)
Orioles C Caleb Joseph (safe)

Ejections: Joe West (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
