This may go down as the best handled ejection of the season. Great call... Then he lets Youk vent a little and he pops right before getting to the dugout (the whole while Davis has his eyes right on youk) and he gets run. Veteren umpires tend to let veteran players get a little more rope.

ReplyDeleteWere you watching the game live? I'd like to see the video of the best handled ejection of the season.
This one was pretty non-eventful. 3-2 pitch, check swing, Youkilis takes off for first but gets called out by Davis at first on the appeal.
ReplyDeleteSince Youkilis was heading that way, he started yelling at Davis, wouldn't stop and got tossed. Not much else to it. Francona then came out, but he didn't really say anything before heading back into the dugout.
