HP Umpire Scott Barry ejected Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco for throwing at Royals batter Billy Butler in the top of the 4th inning of the Royals-Indians game. With one out and none on, Butler took a 0-0 fastball for a ball. In the previous at bat, Royals batter Melky Cabrera hit a grand slam off Carrasco. Replays indicate the pitch was thrown directly above Butler's head, the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Royals were leading, 7-0. The Royals ultimately won the contest, 12-0.

Great ejection by Scott Barry. I am an Indians fan and Carrasco's intentions were extremely obvious, especially as he is yelling "let's go" as he is being ushered into the dug out.
Lou Marson's body language says he was pissed at Carrasco for throwing that and no one seemed mad he got thrown out. Carrasco fully deserves any suspension he gets for this head shot he took, will give one of our young prospects a chance to prove they can be better than that.
Good job by Wally Bell ushering Butler down to first base, and helping diffuse the situation. Proper ejection and a bush league move by Carrasco.
