Replays indicate the pitch was located thigh high and over the inner half of home plate (sz_bot 1.600, pz 1.762; px -0.269) and that all callable pitches (three balls, one other strike) during the at bat were officiated correctly, the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Cubs were leading, 1-0. The Diamondbacks ultimately won the contest, 10-4.

Pursuant to precedent established by the UEFL Appeals Board in In re 011 Guccione 1 [also of Sveum], the reason for ejection is Ball/Strikes, thus correct.
