With 7:11 remaining in the 3rd quarter, Randolph received an unsporting technical foul; with 6:07 remaining in the 3rd period, Paul received his first technical foul. In the 4th period, Paul received his second unsporting technical foul with 2:29 remaining in the contest, while Randolph received his second technical foul for violating the NBA's Respect for the Game guidelines with 1:57 remaining in regulation. At the time of the Paul ejection, the Grizzlies were leading, 113-99. At the time of the Randolph ejection, the Grizzlies were leading, 115-99. The Grizzlies ultimately won the contest, 118-105, clinching the series and eliminating the Clippers from the playoffs.
